May is Nevada Wildfire Awareness Month!
Every May, partners across Nevada unite to create a vital interagency wildfire education campaign aimed at raising awareness and preparedness across the state.
This year, our theme is “Plan, Prepare, Take Action,” emphasizing the importance of taking proactive measures in preparing for and living more safely with wildfire.

Partners
Every year, assisted by grant funds from the Bureau of Land Management, Nevada Division of Forestry, and U.S. Forest Service, the University of Nevada, Reno Extension Living With Fire program collaborates with local, state, and federal firefighting agencies to bring awareness to wildfire topics in our region. Additional funding from program partners, support from corporate sponsors, and other in-kind funding all contribute to the effort.
